here, mothers are

opening reception for here, mothers are

What: Opening reception for here, mothers are

When: Saturday, April 7th, 10am-12pm

Where: The installation space — between 24th Place & 25th Street on Locust.

Sonja Thomsen and Adam Carr would love for you to join us, the Dominican Center for Women, and members of the Amani Neighborhood for the opening reception of our new site-specific public art piece, here, mothers are, that will run through October, (more on the project below).

Generous support for here, mothers has been provided by NIDC and the City of Milwaukee.

Saturday morning will be a time to look and listen at the freshly installed project, as well as conversation and some light refreshments.

Meet in the popup gallery across the street from the Dominican Center for Women, in between 24th Place and 25th on Locust Street. If the weather makes it necessary (cross your fingers), we will be meeting inside at 2470 W. Locust Street.

If you absolutely cannot make this Saturday’s event, the installation will be there through the summer, so make sure you find an opportunity to check it out soon!
