after work/school with Katrina & Lance

 

Dinner was in the oven and the last of the homework, a worksheet on the letter ‘X,’ was finished. Katrina and Lance were ready for us.

Five-year old Lance was excited to have company — he offered us some of his snack (carrots) and showed off his toys. We played basketball on his bedroom hoop and he introduced his turtle, whose name is Spiderman (that might be the best turtle name). Katrina was part of the audience, and an occasional assistant, for Lance.

Once the microphone was on, we learned shortly that they both love singing. They gave an impromptu concert:

Later, Katrina shared the path from her pre-parent life to the current day with Lance. This is a short excerpt about her experiences with a newborn, with commentary from Lance:
